L’Esprit carrys the hallmark of Chevalier to reflect the spirit of the estate. The wine produced with the same care as Domaine de Chevalier with the same oenologists: Stephane Derenoncourt. L’Esprit can be enjoyed young, made from young vines but with the same complexity, structure and focus as the first wine. Olivier Bernard and his team manage with passion this family estate. Each year a quality wine is created with their hard work. The grape variety proportion is 63% of Cabernet sauvignon, 30% of Merlot, 5% of Petit Verdot and 2% of Cabernet franc.

Soil: Gravel on clay-gravel subsoil

Tasting Notes:Intense ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits and peppery spice. Great fresh fruit with well integrated tannins.

. Hand picked into small crates, carefully sorted in the vineyard. Vinified in two vat rooms, one with small tulip-shaped tanks. Barrel aged 14 months in 35% new oak, stirring the lees.
