La Tartine Tombe Toujours Sur Le Cote Beurré Chardonnay

Alcohol:   13.5%
pH: 3.65
Residual Sugar:   1.1
Pays d’Oc
100% Chardonnay

The grapes has been selected from vineyards located in the Languedoc region, South of France. There the vineyards benefit mostly from the Mediterranean climate, while also enjoying a cooler climate coming from the Pyrenees mountains. Such climate is very well suited for the Chardonnay, in order to craft fruity, round and buttery wine. This wine was inspired by a French classic ''Tartine Beurrée'', made of a crunchy baguette spread with butter, as is this wine : generous and filled with buttery roundness and refreshing acidity. The nose is full of ripe green fruits, pear, vanilla and toasted bread.

After a short maceration, the crop is gently pressed. Both the fermentation as well as the maturing process are carried out under the influence of French oak. Prior to racking and maturation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, giving the wine a creamy-buttery taste. During the maceration, fine lees are stirred up periodically to enhance complexity and texture.

Harvested in late August.
